As Cities Burn - Come Now Sleep (2007)
The progression this band makes from record to record is quite staggering. But I’m not going to talk about that. Instead, I’m going to focus on this record simply and say that it might very well be better than any Brand New album. And that’s something, especially for a record that many claims completely rips off the aforementioned band.
I’d never heard this band before this album. I heard hype and all that usual shit and decided to check it out. What I didn’t expect though was this particular album sounding the way it does. A band named As Cities Burn? Really? But wow. This album always makes me stop what I’m doing. I don’t necessarily do anything when I stop. I just stop. And I think that’s enough.
